Low Carbon Buying Group Launched - November 16th

 

On 16th November 2010 we launched our Low Carbon Buying Group.  This is a bulk-purchasing scheme which will bring lower prices on the more expensive energy-saving measures and on renewables.  The first products to be included in the scheme are Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal installations.  We are pleased to be working with the following four suppliers for solar: Ecodomus Limted, Engensa, Hatch Sustain and Southern Solar.  These suppliers have been vetted by us, and will be offering between 10 and 20% discounts for members of the Low Carbon Buying Group.  Anyone can join this group - you just need to be a Muswell Sustainability Group Member (annual subscription £10).  We will be extending the scheme to boilers, solid wall insulation and replacement windows shortly.

en10ergy receives funding from Haringey Council's Green Innovation Fund

 

en10ergy Ltd has received £9,300 from Haringey Council's Green Innovation Fund.  This will be used to cover initial set up costs, such as publicity and our recent launch event.   We enjoy an excellent relationship with Haringey Council's Environmental Resources team led by Jess Sherlock who have been very supportive of Muswell Hill Sustainability Group and en10ergy. 

 

en10ergy Share Launch - March 28th 

 

en10ergy Ltd launched a public offer of its shares on 28 March at the Muswell Hill Centre.  Lynne Featherstone MP, Cllr Claire Kober and Alan Morton made the opening speeches.  We had stalls for the Low Carbon Zone, 100 houses project (see below), the Meadow Orchard project, Muswell Hill Sustainability Group, and of couse a stall to sell shares for en10ergy which did pretty good business!  Thanks to Nancy Hocking for organising the event and W M Martyn for providing tea, coffee and biscuits. 

 

Recruiting Households in Muswell Hill Now!

 

We are starting a '100 houses Study' which will follow 100 households in Muswell Hill over 2 years.  We will assist participants with an initial carbon footprint assessment, agree individual carbon reduction plans with them and provide assistance through regular surgeries with experts in household carbon reduction.

 

Muswell Hill Low Carbon Zone Launch

 

Muswell Hill Low Carbon Zone launched on 27th February at Muswell Hill Primary School.  Members of Muswell Hill Sustainability Group and Haringey Council spoke to a full hall of folk from Muswell Hill eager to cut their emissons!  Next steps are home and business energy assessments and agreeing carbon reduction plans.
